Conservatory - RJ
Introduction
Eighteenth-century missionaries founded a music school for the Araris Indians on a paradisiacal hillside in the Serra Fluminense. It was this conservatory that gave rise to the town's name.
Marked by music since its foundation, Conservatória is today considered the world capital of serenades and serenades. On Friday and Saturday nights, artists, muses, poets, seresteiros and minstrels meet at the Seresta Museum at around 8pm and, at around 11pm, they all go out into the town centre playing and singing love songs and reciting poems until dawn.
Conservatória was the natural setting for the soap operas "O Feijão e o Sonho" and "A Escrava Isaura".
Home music is seresta, street music is serenade.
